Tomatoes and Peppers '09

Tomato starts from Love Apple Farm have been planted in three different places in the new yard. Unfortunately, I think half of the plants are going to be sun-starved. Planted in the front of the house:
  • Taxi - Yellow, round small/med 65, high yields, fruity taste. Determinate. C.
  • King Pinapple - bi-color round, large 95, biggest on the list
  • Black Ethiopian - Purple, Oval, small 70, high yields. C.

Planted in the back yard, a lot less sun exposure:
  • Black Bear - Black round, media 80, pinkish black.
  • Hawaiian Pineapple - Bi-color, round, large 85, sweet. Luscious and Lovely, they say.
  • Stupice - Red round, small 60, determinate. C.

C = Good for coastal climates

Peppers
Got these silly plants at the Alemany Farmers Market. Suspect I planted them too soon. They aren't looking so great.
Mucho Nacho Hybrid - Heavy producer. Thick, meaty 4" long fruit, longer, wider, heavier and hotter than standard jalapenos. Matures in 69 days
Thai Peppers - very hot, tiny red peppers
Kung Pao Hot Pepper - 4" long curved, skinny peppers that mature from green to red. Thin walled, easy to dry
